28 Feb lunch blog

today was a great success, i managed to spend about 120 euros ($150) before i even made it to work. i set up my stuff for fitness yesterday evening, got up at 5:30, went out, and the battery was dead, i really didnt want to wake up all the neighbors, so i went back in and laid on the couch ´till the rest of the heaths got up, then when sonni was ready to go to work, i had her pull the car around to jump start the other one. as the battery has been week now for almost a month, and i have even put it on the charger, but it just wouldnt help. well today i was so pissed, that after i got it started, i went to the next shop and had a battery installed, then i went to aldi, and bought a pair of jogging pants for myself , and a couple of t-shirts for sonni, then i filled up the car for EUR 40.-

americans have absolutley no reason to complain about gas, let me tell you that there! :-(

well needless to say, i was 3/4 hours late to work, and about 120 euros poorer, but at least the car starts now, thats worth something.

Tonight my chinese course starts again, i didnt get the same teacher as last time, shame she was really good, the teacher i have now is really nice, but fairly old, and easily distracted. the last one, really put on he pressure and got the class moving, lets see if we can keep it up. the bad part is, the class is from 7:30 to 9:00 pm - and that on a monday. that really sucks, monday is usually chaotic, and so im happy to be able to relax and watch CSI and Criminal Intent!! but nooo, now i have ten weeks of sucky monday evening chinese classes. since it is already paid for, then i will make the most of it, and afterwards try to find someone from whom i can take private lessons, maybe twice a week, but not on mondays!

now, now, back to work says my concience. more later.

25 Feb lunch blog

Haven't written in a while, thought I'd drop a line (crash) did ya hear it? Actually i would prefer to drop bush, man did he pull our legs in Germany, THEY ALL BUT CLOSED DOWN THE CITY OF MAINZ for that idiot, all the people stayed home (except for the demonstrators) and people had to close their shops, no one will pay them for the money they lost on that day, Lufthansa (who I don't like, but here its the principal of the matter) cancelled most of their flights, millions of euro lost :-( And then he went somewhere else, and there he took a "bath in the crowd", (shame he didn't drown) is he that much more scared of the krauts? Or did he know that they wouldn't want to shake his hand, does he have that much of a bad conscious?

Oh well, at least we didn't have to put up with him.

Back to work now, hi ho, hi ho, grab my pick, and grab my shovel, off to work now toil and trouble.

Yo!

22 Feb lunch blog

so, it posted yesterday! then i'll try again today. it was hillarious, today a truck driver fought to drive his truck from a parking lot next to our building from 7:15 - 11:30, he got the truck free a couple of times, but everytime he would try to get the trailer free, he would get stuck. he finaly had the truck free, but then he parked it, and went home. if he had done that alot earlier, then he would have at least saved alot of diesel. i have never tried to post a picture, but i think i need an internet service to do that, so i probably wont do it, otherwise i would've posted a shot from my web-cam how it looks outside my window. nothing exciting, just an empty (except for two trucks) lot with alot of snow. about six to eight inches, not alot for an eskimo, but alot for this area, more than the last few years. whats up with this global warming? when can i lay under a (free growing-not potted) palm tree in my back yard? as it is, it is cold and rainy more of the year, than summer. and in summer we often get cold spells, rain, and fog. a few years ago, it was foggy throught half of july, and all of august, we didnt have direct sunlight in our town for about 6 weeks.you should know, we live in the danube valley, about 20 km to the northwest and 20 km to the southeast, we have areas, where the weather goes into oppisite mode alot, when everyone else gets sun, we get rain or fog. although when they get rain and fog, then we instaed have fog and rain (lol, jk) we get some sun here, but we are not naturally tan in the summer, in fact, someone from south florida would probably put on the jacket here in the summer. two years ago we had a great summer, almost 3 straight months of sun and heat - wow - we can only hope, that the summer coming will be as "good" as the winter, and that we will get as much sun as we did snow. well gonna stop, and drink another coffee before lunch is over. 21 Feb. - long time not written lunch blog

yep, long time not written, i'm trying it again per e-mail. so it's not said, it'll get posted anyways, maybe i'll have to re-post it manually, we'll see. man, i'm really tired today, got to bed a bit late, and got up early. those two dont go together too well. tonight i'll certainly try to get to bed earlier. work is work, and the weekend was too short, i really like my job, but i like my free time more, as much as i like the people i work with, and as much as i like my job, if i won a couple of million in the lotterie, then i'd seriously think about stopping work, and start doing the things i have always wanted to do, but had either no time, no money, or both. i would show my wife and kids the beutiful places of this planet, before they are all dried up, flooded over, burned down, or blown up. and i would certainly find a way to get away from this stupid snow. it snowed all last week, stopped for the weekend, and now it is supposed to snow again the rest of the week. I could be happy if i were a person who likes to ski. or if i owned a ski lift, or something of the likes. but scratching windows,a nd clearing snow before you can drive anywheres in the morning, isnt my idea of fun. ow hell, back to work, grind-slave-grind. 16 Feb lunch blog

well I posted another blog per e-mail yesterday, and again... it didn’t get posted, I am posting this direct, that is a shame, as I don’t always have time to go online, so I may not get to post as often. So not much is going on any ways at the moment, we are wondering when we will go back down to China, probably in the end of April, it depends how production is running beforehand. It may be necessary to go in March, we will see. I am so sick of snow, it has snowed more the past week, than whole last year I think. A thick wet snow, and it doesn’t improve my moral when I have to clean the stuff off my car in the morning before I go to fitness…… yuck! Well gotta work some more. Yo!

9 Feb lunch blog

yowza, have not written the past couple of days, not much time. super bowl sunday was great, the game started about 11:30-12:00 (?) and i got home 10 to 5 in the morning, 4 hours sleep, and i started work at 10:00 in the morning, man was i pooped, but the game was good, though i don't follow the teams or the nfl, in fact the only sport i watch on a semi-regular basis is snooker, thats a cool game. i used to watch golf, but seeing as how i couldn't start playing (lack of time/or money/ or both) after a while i stopped watch it in t.v., i thought, why make myself sick with longing to play a sport and watch it on t.v., with snooker i would actually have the chance to play, if i would take the time, i know that it is not out of reach. but golf is still so elite over here, ALL the german clubs only let you play if you have a registered greens card with some club. this has led to strange arrangements, there are actually "virtual" clubs, who have seat somewhere, and give out "long-range" greens cards, test, handicaps, everything through the mail, or over the internet. they are naturally cheaper than a real club, but not every real club is glad, or even willing to let such "riff-raff" play on their courses. maybe this year i would have a bit of time and money to start, but probably not, as i would also like to; - make a motor cycle licence, - make my 2nd kyu in jujutsu, - study more chinese, - invest more time in international sales, - get our new computer system up and running, - make a short vacation in hamburg / heiligendamm - travel to china a couple of times - etc. - etc. - etc. i have talked about starting an american (or just english) network for the ulmer region, with a buddy of mine, i will probably start a blog, as this is the easiest (and cheapest) way, as soon as it is standing, i will inform any one who is interested. well nuff sed 4 now, blog on my blogging bloggers. bloggety-blog-blog Yo!

6 Feb super bowl sunday blog

sundaaay, just checked my e-bay, and now i'm looking for stuff to sell. the kids will get picked up by thier omi, and will spend the week over there, as they have the week off in school. tonight i´m going to a super bowl party, i don´t really care for the game itself, but the party should be cool, the only problem, is it starts about 22:30 - 23:00 and goes to 3-4 in the morning, as a colleague is sick next week, i cant take the day off, so i´ll go in about 1-2 hour later. and i´ll probabaly have to go in either early or stay later, to keep up my work load, and cover the most necessary of hers. oh well thats life. does that cerial "life" still exist? yeah beth, i was thinking of thet old saying..... no i´m not going to write it down here. well i guess i´ll post this, and set up something to post in e-bay, if any one is interested, the name is slab4321 or obay-won-kenobi, but remember, e"bay me shipping you" ~ POEM 1 ~ this a poem, about a person youll know 'em when you see 'em in the mirror, you´ll be 'em wow comment that! enough rambling for now, maybe tomorrow during lunch i'll rant some more, after reading the headlines, or the quote of the day. 4 Feb lunch blog (my opinion)

ya know, even though i live in germany (an old european enclave situated between the old european alps, and the baltic and north seas) i still love america and all that it stands for. but of late (4 years and some odd weeks) i cant understand some of the things happening in and with america. for the records; 1. no, i didnt lose anyone in the WTC attacks (for which i am most thankful) 2. no, i personaly dont know anyone who lost anyone (to my knowledge) 3. no, i didnt personaly didnt know any policemen or firemen who died in that tragic and cowardly attack 4. no i have not fought in any wars to protect america (i served 4 years between grenada and GW-I) 5. yes, i detest terrorism, and no, i cannot understand the mentality of terrorists (i cannot condemn terrorists, as that is not mine, but each his god) but i believe that all makes me no less american. i cannot understand why so many people trust bush and co. so much. as michael moore (www.michaelmoore.com / mailinglist@michaelmoore.com ) has repeatidly stated, about half the americans dont trust him and his "friends" and that is good so. whilst sitting outside of the states, i dont see all the news that runs in american t.v., but i see reports about different countrys, i see the german news, and while yeah they are biased towards germany, i think they do not "invent" the news concerning america or other country around our big blue. i wonder why people in america think they have the right to make judgement of "old europe", whilst the themselves are being (sometimes, willingly) fooled by a regime, that has steadily lied to, maimed, and killed its own citizens. in the name of peace? where is there peace in that? are the iraqis living in peace now? where was america as the kurds stood up to sadam a few years ago? where did all thos weapons and money come from? AND WHERE IS BIN LADEN? remember him? the guy who killed (or had killed) all those poor people in the WTC on september 11th? the american "informitive agencies" (cia, fbi, etc.) can (suposedly) read the newspaper over your shoulder when you lay in your garden, they can detect a bomb from a distance, and it seems, they can do so much, they are so great! AND WHERE IS BIN LADEN? still on the loose, straaaaange.my theorie is, they know exactly where he is, and as long as he stays there, everything is good, because america has an enemy to fight (my theorie, he is in saudia arabia with the family, but that is only my idea, and i have no proof, so to all you cia geeks, please dont kill me :-( ) enough of my ravings, should i have offended anyone, please excuse me, that is not my intention, but that is life. and as and old german (an old european enclave situated between the old european alps, and the baltic and north seas) saying goes "opinions are like assholes, everyone has one, and most of them stink!" yo, rave on!

apparently, those worthy of loathing recognise each other

- QUOTATION OF THE DAY - "I don't think anybody thinks that the unelected mullahs who run that regime are a good thing for the Iranian people or for the region. I think our European allies agree that the Iranian regime's human rights behavior and its behavior toward its own population is something to be loathed." - CONDOLEEZZA RICE, secretary of state. http://www.nytimes.com/2005/02/04/international/middleeast/04diplo.html?th

FOO FIGHTERS - ONE BY ONE

FOO FIGHTERS - ONE BY ONE................coooooooooool

2 Feb Miller time blog

well, its miller time here in germany, shame we just dont have miller over here. machnix, i guess ill go home then, today was a very busy, if not totaly productive day. "say la vee" here it is again, as soon as i want to write something, nothing is there, its like everything hides, as soon as my fingers hit the keys, (picture a wide, sandy, windy plain with little tufts of dried grass) as soon as i turn of the laptop, itll all jump out yelling nananonopoopoo, and ill remember what i really wanted to write. until then, ill just bore along a bit and fill up space.... no wait, ill paste some interesting facts that a friend wrote me some time ago; So enjoy, and i say in advance, thanks wooly, sometimes when i feel down, or mad, i read these.... it never fales! If you yelled for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days you would have produced enough sound energy to heat one cup of coffee. (Hardly seems worth it.) If you farted consistently for 6 years and 9 months, enough gas is produced to create the energy of an atomic bomb. (Now that's more like it!) The human heart! creates enough pressure when it pumps out to the body to squirt blood 30 feet. (O.M.G.!) A A pig's orgasm lasts 30 minutes. (In my next life, I want to be a pig.) A cockroach will live nine days without its head before it starves to death! (Creep y.) (I'm still not over the pig.) Banging your head against a wall uses 150 calories a hour (Don't try this at home, maybe at work) The male praying mantis cannot copulate while its head is attached to its body. The female initiates sex by ripping the male's head off. ("Honey, I'm home. What the....?!") The flea can jump 350 times its body length. It's like a human jumping the length of a football field. (30 minutes..lucky pig! Can you imagine?) The catfish has over 27,000 taste buds. (What could be so tasty on the bottom of a pond?) Some lions mate over 50 times a day. (I still want to be a pig in my next life...quality over quantity) Butterflies taste with their feet. (Something I always wanted to know.) The strongest muscle in the body is the tongue. (Hmmmmmm......) Right-handed people live, on average, nine years longer than left-handed people. (If you're ambidextrous, do you split the difference?) Elephants are the only animals that cannot jump. (okay, so that would be a good thing) A cat's urine glows under a black light. (I wonder who was paid to figure that out?) An ostrich's eye is bigger than its brain. (I know some people like that.) Starfish have no brains. (I know some people like that too.) Polar bears are left-handed. (If they switch, they'll live a lot longer) Humans and dolphins are the only species that have sex for pleasure. (What about that pig??) Now that you've smiled at least once, it's your turn to spread these crazy facts and send this to someone you want to bring a smile to (maybe even a chuckle)...In other words, send it to everyone. For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone. People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms. As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others. -Audrey Heburn Love doesn't make the world go 'round. Love is what makes the ride worthwhile.

Well I'm not gonna write much, just a quickie mail, maybe more later. Everything is great, the sun is shining, and there is 6 inches of snow on the ground, beautiful as long as I don't have to do anything in it. Yo!
